In Rear Window, Jeff, the main character, uses a camera with a telephoto lens to spy on his neighbors. My idea is to create a (non-working) camera out of simple construction materials like cardboard, plastic, and tin cans. Like the mixed media project, I have an idea, but I need to somehow include one of my pictures in it.

As you can see in the picture to the left, there is a reflected picture of a woman. My idea that in the lens of the camera, you will be able to see a slightly distorted image of an apartment complex.

The way that I will take a picture of an apartment complex is by taking a picture of my mixed media project.
My general idea in constructing the camera is to make a telephoto lens that is removable from the camera.

The camera to the left is the exact camera that was used in the filming of Rear Window. My plan is to make to body out of cardboard, and the lens out of a can.
The photo to the right is what I will use to model the telephoto lens. My plan for constructing this part is to use two cans and cardboard.

These are my materials. I ended up using the two sprinkle bottles with the white caps to make the telephoto lens and the camera lens. The body of the camera was made of cardboard. I used magnets to make the telephoto lens attach and detach to the camera. The whole thing was covered with felt. I also decided to add leather detailing to the lens.
